Mason Greenwood Arrested Over Alleged Rape & Assault, Now Released on Bail

Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood was arrested on suspicion of rape and sexual assault on Sunday January 30th, 2022. He was detained on suspicion of rape and assault and was suspended from playing or training with this club following the weekend’s allegations.

The accusations were made by Harriet Robson who was his partner at the time of events. The allegations were made public on Sunday when Robson published photos of her blood covered face and bruised covered body on social media. She accompanied these photos with the caption;

To everyone who wants to know what mason actually does to me.

As the post circulated and was shared on social media, the police were alerted and subsequently took the 20 year old player into custody. In an initial statement, Manchester United confirmed that they were aware of the circulation of certain photos and a voice recording.

We are aware of images and allegations circulating on social media. We will not make any further comment until the facts have been established. Manchester united do not condone violence of any kind.
